10 months old
We’ve made it to double digits! The big 1 – 0 ! Ten months old!!! Isaac is so much fun! The child loves to eat and many times I think he eats more than I do for a meal! So far we haven’t found anything that he doesn’t like!
He is definitely a growing boy! He’s wearing 12 month clothes and weighed a smidge over 20 pounds at our last doctor’s appointment. Such a big boy!!
Joe and Isaac went on their first boys trip this past month. They went to Raleigh for Joe’s Fantasy Draft. Both boys did great and really enjoyed hanging with his cousins!
“I’m worn out Mama – no more picture!”

Running for Kids Cancer
A friend of mine first introduced me to a story about a little girl who grew up here in Charlotte. Isabella Santos was two years old when she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. After a very extensive 5 year battle, traveling the states to participate in multiple programs, Isabella lost her battle with Neuroblastoma. It is the hope of Isabella’s family that her journey can help other children fight and overcome this awful disease.
Her story is inspiring and I hope you’ll take the time to watch this video to get to know Isabella a little better.
I can’t even begin to imagine the pain this family is dealing with. But what I can tell you is how inspiring they are. I believe with all my heart and soul that the Lord will make something good out of something bad. These parents have taken this horrible situation and brought hope out of it. They continue to let Isabella live on through their activism for children’s cancer. What an amazing testament of their love.
The Santos family began an Annual Fundraiser in 2007 to help fund pediatric cancer research – 5k Race for Kids Cancer. This is one of their largest fundraisers and they have hopes of it growing larger and larger each year. Last year they more than doubled their registration and funds raised and I hope that we would be able to help them do even better this year!
Some info from their website:

9 months old
Baby boy is 3/4 of the way through his first year! Every day is more and more fun. He has become more mobile which makes taking his monthly shots a little more challenging! But I love it – you see exactly what' he’s up to!
Some first this month: Ventured to our first social event (a Salon Opening for our sweet friends Taylor & Kyle). Beach trip with the Queens (we had so much fun getting away with our dear friends and their girls – I hope to make this a tradition!) First actual paid babysitter (Dave Matthews Concert for mom & dad. btdubs – worst DMB concert I’ve ever been to. Boo.)
We are still dealing with his eczema. Dad and Isaac actually went to the dermatologist and we tried some cortisone and some other “special” creams. But… they didn’t really work. What’s worked the best is actually coconut oil mixed with lavender essential oil. All natural. Safe. And smells good to boot. More details to come on the essential oils.
We had his 9 month photo shoot and our little grinner did NOT show up for the photo shoot. He was good just not normal Isaac. We just got the proofs back today and they are good – but I missed seeing the big gummy grin! More on those photos to come as well!
Laid back laughing! Love it!
He loves to clap and also to put his hands up like “TOUCHDOWN”. so.cute.
The boy is FAST crawling! Our new game is for us to chase his down the hall crawling - he cracks up! And because I could share all 90 pictures I took this day, here are just a few more out-takes.
The boy is BUSY!
